For me, motherhood has been the toughest and most time-intensive job I’ve ever had. Somehow, I feel like I never have enough time to fit everything in, and as a result, I have become quite adept at multi-tasking. For example, I now listen to my environmental news on my Ipod while pumping breastmilk at work. You think I kid? I’m so totally serious. And since I have limited time to get my news in, I’m pretty choosy about who I listen to, and I have to say that my favorite environmental podcast right now is Mixed Greens, hosted by The Environmental Working Group. Their weekly podcasts are only a few minutes long, but they somehow manage to provide the perfect amount of information on topics that are relavent to myself as a parent, like how to properly wash fruits and veggies or how to prevent babies from being exposed to phthalates. So if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to get a little e-news in between mothering tasks, consider tuning in to Mixed Greens.
