I’ve bought Eden Organics canned goods on many occasions in the past, mainly because I’d heard their can liners were BPA-free. But when I actually saw it on the side of the can, my heart leapt. No, really. I was THAT excited. Someday I hope we’ll see “BPA Free” on ALL canned foods.
High fives to Eden Organics for making my weekend just a little bit better—and to Canada for officially declaring BPA (bisphenol-A) toxic!!!

Someday, I hope we don’t *have* to see “BPA Free” on products, because it will not be legal to poison consumers!
That would be ideal and I, too, hope it becomes illegal ASAP but in the meantime, I’d like to see companies follow Eden Organics’ lead and voluntarily remove it from their products.
Thanks for sharing! Good info!
A great find! Thanks for sharing!

EXCEPT maybe their tomato-product cans:
“Are Eden’s canned tomatoes packed in cans with enamel lining that contain bisphenol-A?
Eden Organic Tomatoes are packed in steel cans coated with a baked on r-enamel lining. Due to the acidity of tomatoes, the lining is epoxy based and may contain a minute amount of bisphenol-A, it is however in the ‘non detectable’ range according to independent laboratory extraction tests. The test was based on a detection level at 5 ppb (parts per billion).”

I’ve never even seen Eden Organic tomatoes but that’s good to know. I wonder if those won’t have the BPA-free label?
It’s the first time I see a BPA free label! I guess it’s a start… a step in the right direction. Thanks for sharing!
